"With Every Beat of My Heart" is a top-notch pop song. The story goes, Taylor Dayne's sophomore LP, "Can't Fight Fate" was ready for release, but Arista needed the right song to launch it. Clive Davis sent out the word, and the label got "With Every Beat of My Heart." It worked like a charm and spawned the the #1 hit, "Love Will Lead You Back."
