Formed in 1987 during the grunge scene in Washington, today's trio is best known for helping to usher in a new era of music that all but destroyed the glam metal bands of the 80's. Led by a poetic yet disturbed front man named Kurt Cobain, the band Nirvana released their first album in 1989 which featured today's song that was re-released in 1992 and was a popular song for the group.
