80's Movie Weekend

I don't remember if I actually watched this movie, but I vaguely remember buying the cassette or album at that time because I had this fold out poster size sheet that showed you how to break dance. I was going to be the greatest break dancer that Seminole, OK had ever seen. Unfortunately, I learned a few moves then gave up on it altogether. Just remember: Don't be mistakin', you've got to see "Breakin'"... the trailer... check out a young Ice-T doing the rapping for this scene...

Yo, It's Time for Me to Pump the Volume

Today's anti-drug song features a sample from Curtis Mayfield's "Pusherman," and comes from a rapper born in Newark, raised in L.A., and who spent four years in the Army after high school. He's been a detective on TV since 2000 on Law and Order S.V.U. It's the cool, collective Ice T with his 1988 hit "I'm Your Pusher"...

#75

You don't know me, fool! In the spring of '88, a movie depicting life on the streets and the gang wars between the Crips and Bloods came busting into the movie theaters starring Sean Penn and Robert Duvall. It also featured a soundtrack with a title track that I wore out that summer. It's my favorite Ice T song. You don't like it? So. You know where you can go.

80's Movie Weekend

You ain't got nothing on me!
I got handcuffs on you.
Crips, bloods, drive-by shootings, dope dealings, Duvall and Penn... from 1988, it's "Colors"

of course, we need the title track as done so brilliantly by Ice-T... one of my favorite rap songs of the 80's...
