80's Movie Weekend

Of course we all know that sequels are rarely as good as the first ones, and that's pretty true in this case with this weekend's 80's movie flashback. The original Smokey and the Bandit debuted in 1977. Part two came out in 1980 and it was one of the biggest money makers of the year, but not as good as the original. I love Jackie Gleason, but three Jackie Gleasons in three different roles wasn't what this film needed. Yet, we still get plenty of Burt Reynolds and plenty of Sally Field (way before her "Brothers and Sisters" days) and a few laughs along the way. It's "Smokey and the Bandit II"...

the trailer...

I am a sucker for blooper reels though...
