Originally comprised KRS-One, D-Nice, and DJ Scott La Rock, today's group from the Bronx is making their debut in the Excellent 80's. Boogie Down Production is credited by many as telling about life as it was in the South Bronx in the late 80's and kick-starting what would eventually be referred to as "gangsta rap." D-Nice is also credited with discovering a white rapper/rocker in the late 80's known as Kid Rock and helping him get signed to Jive Records.
