Sure today's video is a 1979 classic disco era song, but it's close enough to the 80's and actually gained popularity in 1980 despite a copyright date of 1979. Once upon a time when I lived in the Oklahoma City area, I would venture to a local club there and catch a 70's tribute band called Grooveline. The band, with fake afros and sweet one piece jump suits, would always perform this classic from the band known as Lipps Inc (pronounced lip sync). Even though Grooveline was four dudes, they always did an outstanding job of bringing a little "Funkytown" to the masses.
