Adventureland Week Day 5

There are a few songs from the soundtrack which date back to the 70's like Lou Reed's "Satellite of Love" and The New York Dolls "Looking for a Kiss"... the movie also includes the 80's hit from the Violent Femmes "Blister in the Sun" which isn't on the soundtrack unfortunately... there are actually 41 different songs throughout the movie but you would have to individually download them all if you wanted to compile the full list... today's song is also a very cool non-80's song from a very cool non-80's group called The Velvet Underground... there's not really any video so to speak, but from 1969, with Lou Reed on vocals, here is "Pale Blue Eyes"... hope you enjoyed the week!

As we continue on from the awesome 80's soundtrack from the movie Adventureland, here is 62 year old (wow, really?) David Robert Hayward-Jones, or maybe you know him as "Ziggy Stardust" or "The Thin White Duke"... if not, surely you've heard of David Bowie... it is one of my favorite Bowie tracks - "Modern Love"...

Adventureland Week Day One

As the summer winds down and we find ourselves in the fall many of the state fairs are going on right now which transitions into a coming of age movie I watched this weekend that I really like with an awesome 80's setting and soundtrack... the movie was "Adventureland"... all I can say is that the movie was good but the soundtrack was better... so with all that being said, I am bringing you a week's worth of videos of songs from the "Adventureland Soundtrack" since I enjoyed it so much... first up, some early INXS for you from 1982, and featuring a short haired Michael Hutchence with one of their earlier MTV videos - "Don't Change"...
